She studied Clothing and Textiles with an emphasis in Fashion Design. She received a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in 1991. During and after her education, she worked at two tailor shops and maintained a home sewing business. She began her CAD career by accepting a training position with Computer Design, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI. Duties included training clients and CDI employees; creating training courses, materials and imagery; customer support; and Beta software testing and enhancement requests. After two years, Tiffany accepted a CAD design/management position at a children swear company in Manhattan. After six months, she decided to challenge herself further by starting her own CAD freelancing and consulting business. As a consultant, Tiffany assists Apparel and Textile companies mainly within the New York area. Services provided may be as simple as answering basic CAD questions, to building and reorganizing CAD departments. She also assists companies in hiring CAD operators and designers. As a Textile Designer, Tiffany spends most of her time working onsite with U4ia clients. Tiffany held a part-time faculty position as an instructor at Parsons School of Design for five years. She taught U4ia classes within the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Continuing Education departments. As a consultant, Tiffany researches all CAD vendors in order to recommend the best solutions for her clients. She also works with some vendors to provide Beta testing and offer enhancement solutions. Currently, she assists with three packages: U4ia, ScotWeave and Fashion Toolbox. Tiffany has consulted and designed for several major corporations. Due to confidentiality and the awareness of industry competition, specific clients shall not be listed. Tiffany provides most of her services within the New York area, but she is also available worldwide when travel and lodging expenses are provided.
